CNC machining processes workpieces in a continuous manner and is suitable for high-volume, complex-shaped parts.
Machine shops can use CAD/CAM systems to program CNC machines automatically. The geometry of the part is automatically converted from the CAD system to the CAM system, the mechanical worker selects various machining methods on the virtual display, when the machinist selects a certain machining method, the CAD/CAM system can automatically output the CNC code (usually G-code) and input these codes into the controller of the CNC machine tool for the actual machining operation.
